Family Toolkits

Inviting families to events can be a great way to build and strengthen relationships. They are even more powerful when they are linked to learning. That means that both family members AND school staff walk away with a deeper understanding of how to help students thrive.

For inspiration, check out our Family Night Toolkits. This year, they come in four flavors:

These toolkits are available to download for free. Or take things in a different direction and riff off of this planning template to [help – cut] map out your own unique event. 

Remember that not everyone will make it to your event. That’s ok. Hosting an event can be an opportunity to make a phone call or send a personal message, especially to your harder-to-reach families, both before and after the event. As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
