It’s School Climate and Connectedness Survey time, and the family survey is open through March 20th for participating schools. This is your opportunity to gather honest feedback from families, students, and staff about what’s working well and where you can improve together.
Looking for ways to boost participation? Get creative with your outreach!
- Consider offering incentives like free entrance to basketball games for families who complete the survey.
- Promote the survey on your school’s social media pages.
- Create bookmarks on public computers at the library to make the survey easy to access.
- Send friendly text reminders.
- For the student survey, some schools walk through each question together as a class, making sure everyone understands what’s being asked.

Remember, one of the best ways to improve response rates is to show survey takers—staff, students, and families—that you take the results seriously and are using them to drive quality improvements. Join us at our next Family Engagement Coffee Chat on Thursday, February 19th, at noon, where we’ll hear how Sandy West has used survey results to spark meaningful conversations with school staff about family engagement in under 20 minutes.
