Yakutat is like many small towns; the community’s only library is in the school building. The school started opening the library on Tuesday evenings to give families and community members better access to books. The school also added reading games that families can play with their children at the library or check out and take home for a few weeks. It’s an easy way for families to connect with school, learn about the science of reading, and help support their students while having fun together.
