In February the Juneau School District partnered with the Juneau STEAM Coalition to host a free Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math event for elementary-age children and their families. STEAM experts, scientists, local agencies and businesses offered over 50 hands-on activities taking up the entire first floor of Thunder Mountain High School. Over 800 students, families, educators, presenters, and volunteers attended the annual event. The event offered a chance for families and students to learn together.
