Tracking progress with Delta-Greely’s “Triangle”

What do the Reads Act, Title 1 Funding, and quality Multi-Tiered Systems of Support all have in common? They all require communication with families. 

We know that partnering with families boosts student success. But how do you document, track, and coordinate without getting overwhelmed by paperwork?

At Delta Elementary School, Administrator Milt Hooton, Reading Interventionist Hannah Hudgin, and their team developed a simple doc to track contacts for Individual Reading Intervention Plans and reading progress, MTSS Interventions, and Title I-mandated family partnership efforts. Using the doc, known affectionately as “The Triangle”, staff can quickly see and update progress on each student, making it easier to comply with the rules and regulations as well as partner with families.
